The Costa Brava is a popular region in Spain for a family vacation, starting north of Barcelona and stretching up to the French border. The stunning coastline is the draw here and has inspired some of the world’s best artists, like Dali and Picasso. Children enjoy the kid-friendly museums devoted to these artists, paired with an e-bike ride to take in the beautiful countryside that features prominently in their famous paintings. Slow the pace by wandering through fishing villages or playing on the rocky shores. Plan to stay for at least four or five nights to savor the Costa Brava culture properly, and consider renting a kid-friendly farmhouse for an intimate, very local accommodation experience.
