In any given year, Paris is hugely in demand for traveling families — and with the 2024 Summer Olympics scheduled to kick off next July, that demand promises to skyrocket. There’s tons of buzz about what to expect, from new events like breaking to a totally fresh look for the Opening Ceremonies (more on that later). So much, in fact, that planning a family vacation to the Paris Games can quickly become overwhelming. To ensure a smooth trip and a truly elevated experience, you need an inside track. That’s where our Family Travel Advisor team comes in.
Our vetted travel partner, the official hospitality provider for the Paris Games, collaborates with us to provide 2024 Summer Olympics packages that allow our clients both bespoke service and unparalleled access to private venues. They’ll take care of all the logistics, including airport transfers and accommodations at 4- and 5-star hotels, and you’ll have a chance to enjoy exclusive vantage points for the Opening Ceremonies, guaranteed tickets to your sporting events of choice, and dedicated dining venues — just for starters. And our Advisors are well positioned to guide you through the options and help you select those that best suit your family. Here are some of the main benefits to be had when you book via Ciao Bambino.
The 2024 Paris Games will be the first Olympics at which hospitality venues are open to the general public — a boon to parents who crave comfortable spaces and conveniences to keep kids happy during long and busy days. In the past, only large companies or other organizations were able to arrange lounge access and other such perks, limited to their employees or members. No longer! Our travel partner offers four basic levels of hospitality, with corresponding price points, available to all guests. The centerpiece of the experience is a clubhouse in the heart of Paris, home to a large museum displaying medals and torches from every Olympic Games; interactive experiences for all ages; meet-and-greets with former Olympic athletes; and more. Amenities within the clubhouse depend on which package level you select — the lowest tier comes with light bites, soft drinks and meals for purchase, while the highest includes heavier food, Champagne, top-shelf spirits and capped entry to keep crowds low.
Also new for the 2024 Summer Olympics is a ticketing option called On the Finish Line. Available for sports such as track, rowing and cycling, these tickets are just what the name implies: seats aligned with the finish line, giving you clear sight of the athletes at the moment they cross. If you or someone in your family is passionate about a certain event, it’s worth paying a premium for an unrivaled view of the action. Pricing varies according to how early or late a round you are watching (preliminaries versus finals, for instance).

There’s nothing more stressful than trying to find a good place to eat with limited time between events — especially with a hungry little one in tow. Our travel partner has reserved exclusive use of five popular Paris restaurants with various price points and food types, where clients can pre-book lunches and dinners. Curated menus at each restaurant include a choice of two to three starters, two to three entrees and wine pairings for the adults. The least expensive is 75 € per person and the most expensive is 190 € per person; children’s pricing is available also.
Instead of the vast stadiums and Parade of Nations that are mainstays of most Olympic Opening Ceremonies, Paris will be starting things off in unique fashion. For the 2024 Games, the Opening Ceremonies will be held along the Seine, with each country’s athletes riding on boats instead of marching in en masse. Our partner has secured a number of different hospitality locations where guests can watch the ceremonies unfold, with variable pricing and amenities, but the pinnacle is Ducasse sur Seine, the luxe lunch and dinner cruise helmed by Michelin-starred chef Alain Ducasse. You’ll have a clear view either from your table aboard the vessel or from a rooftop deck above. C’est incroyable!
Booking sooner rather than later is crucial. Demand for the Summer Olympics typically starts to spike the previous November, and by the end of March, virtually no tickets remain. Popular events such as dressage and gymnastics are already going fast, the latter spurred by Simone Biles’ outstanding performance at the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastic Championships.
If you have your heart set on a certain event, or if you want the widest possible range of choices, now is the time to take action to avoid disappointment. Contact our Family Travel Advisor team for help — we can coordinate your experience with our travel partner and make sure it is tailored to your needs and expectations.
There is no minimum age for any of the venues and events, but we can help you determine those that work best for your family. Plus, if you’d like to spend additional time in Paris before or after the Olympics (or take the opportunity to explore another region of France), we’ll make sure your trip flows seamlessly from start to finish.
Let the Games, and the memories, begin!
