With eight years of experience at a software development company, I specialized in managing people and operations to deliver luxury, custom-created travel incentive programs as well as bespoke luxury consumer trips. Beginning as a research and planning advisor, I immersed myself in every facet of trip design, mastering the art of crafting unforgettable experiences. My passion for optimizing systems quickly took over and I became obsessed with finding ways to enhance efficiency and streamline processes that benefited both the advisor’s and the traveler’s experiences, ensuring that each traveler’s journey was not only memorable but also executed flawlessly with ease.

My Favorite Travel Experiences

St. Croix will always be special to me as the place I first traveled with my children. Visiting family each year, exploring the island and engaging in Crucian culture always brought something fun and exciting for us. Today we still all wear our Sonya’s hook bracelets and have a tradition of welcoming new members to our family with the gift of their very own hook bracelet! Internationally, my favorite travel destinations have been southern Ireland; San Gimignano, Italy; Crete; and the Arenal region of Costa Rica. Each destination had such a different impact, but each one offered warm people, delicious food and unforgettable cultural and natural experiences.

Why I Love My Job

I love my job because I have the great good fortune of supporting those who make families’ travel dreams come true. I also love that I can help make an impact in the world exponentially — one family, one trip and one experience at a time. There is no better way to realize we have far more in common with others than to see and experience it firsthand. It’s an amazing gift to get to be a part of bringing people together through travel.
