Before Becoming An Advisor …

I was a kindergarten and first grade teacher for 14 years. I enjoyed sharing my travel photos with the kids and explaining about other parts of the world. I believe that the best education you can give a child is the gift of travel. Experiencing other cultures is eye-opening for them and broadens their world.

My Favorite Travel Experiences

I have traveled to 41 countries around the world and have thoroughly enjoyed each and every one! Among my favorite trips was to Paris, Switzerland and Italy with my family. Our kids were teenagers and it was great to experience Europe through their eyes. They still can’t believe their mom (who is afraid of heights) ran off a mountain in Zermatt and paraglided down to the city below. And we still laugh about running out of euros and not being able to use a pay restroom in a train station in Italy. My favorite place in all the world is a little village in Switzerland called Lauterbrunnen, with a waterfall in the middle of town — I call it my happy place. I also enjoy taking exotic trips with my husband and learning about other cultures, such as our recent trip to Morocco and the Sahara Desert. Riding a camel and spending the night in the desert on my birthday was just amazing. The stars were unbelievably bright and abundant … truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me. Of course my kids love to ski, so we’ve done our share of spring break ski trips as well. Any time we travel together, it is a blessing to make memories as a family.

Why I Love My Job

The two things I love most are teaching kids and traveling. This job gives me the opportunity to put both passions together. I love planning exciting trips for families where children can broaden their views, experience new cultures and see where history was made. Knowing that what I do helps build family memories is extremely rewarding. I plan each trip as if I were planning for my own family, and I want your family to be blessed the way mine has been.
