CB! Approved Hotels and Resorts

Zermatt has no shortage of luxury hotels. The Riffelalp Resort stands out, however, as the only option located on a 2,222-meter/7,290-foot summit with front and center views of the Matterhorn. Accessing the hotel requires a 20-minute ride on the Gornergrat train, but the tradeoff is that guests enjoy a reprieve from the sea of tourists in town. The atmosphere is upscale, but not so fancy as to lose the connection with the mountain setting. Guest rooms are cozy and well-appointed. There’s a playground, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, and two excellent restaurants onsite. Limitless outdoor activities begin right here.
