CB! Approved Hotels and Resorts

Finding outstanding wallet-friendly accommodations in Rome that sleep families is nearly impossible. Fortunately, there’s The Beehive, an absolute gem in the budget category. Owned by an American couple, The Beehive has more soul than many of the fancy, more expensive hotels in Rome. Family photos and colorful art create a warm and cheerful ambiance. A front desk is available to help families with directions and local advice. The rooms are immaculate with soft sheets and comfortable beds. There’s an in-house cafe serving homemade bread and hot breakfast in the morning, as well as drinks and snacks in the afternoon. A charming enclosed garden provides a perfect place to relax after sightseeing. Shared bathrooms are the norm here, but there are a few rooms with private bathrooms available. The neighborhood, just two blocks from Termini station, is busy and somewhat gritty, but the tradeoff is that the transportation options from here are endless and easy.
