Just across the street from the Santa Monica Pier and one of the most iconic beach scenes in America, the Shore Hotel couldn’t be better positioned for exploring the area. Guests can leave their cars in the onsite parking deck and walk to the pier, ocean, shopping, dining, local parks and more. Although the decor is modern and minimalist, it features an eco-friendly flair, and the Shore welcomes kids and offers special packages for family fun. Rooms are compact, but so thoughtfully designed that they don’t feel cramped; all have private balconies or patios, many with a view of the ocean. Six connecting rooms and 20 suites are well suited for families. A solar-heated pool in the hotel’s outdoor atrium offers a perfect spot to relax at the end of a day of sightseeing.
