Community Recommended Hotels and Resorts

Poggio al Casone is comprised of 10 thoughtfully restored self-catering apartments. Located on a private wine estate, the property is warm, friendly, well-kept, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s obvious that the owner has put a great deal of work into the refurbishment of the property – every room is decorated with a focus on quality. The La Torre apartment has a private terrace on the roof where guests can sit and look at the stars. The caretaker has two daughters who live on the property, which contributes to the kid-friendly atmosphere. Although there is no onsite restaurant, groceries and dining are plentiful in this area. The owner, Michela, is very helpful and willing to assist with local insight and reservations. This location is excellent for regional sightseeing – Pisa, Florence, Lucca, and Cinque Terre are all within reach.
