The Oceana is in the heart of Santa Monica across the street from the beach and Santa Monica Pier.  It has a relaxing vibe and the short walk to the beach to bike or stroll or the Third Street Promenade for shopping and dining means it’s easy to take in the tourist sites and come back for a break. Rooms are comfortable and newly updated including large suites with plenty of room for multiple children. The courtyard pool is great for kids.  This is a convenient and beautiful base for exploring Southern California.
