The Nonantum Resort is the perfect place to stay for families visiting Kennebunkport, Maine. Not only does it provide walking access to the waterfront and seaside village, but it provides a slew of onsite activities for children including crafts, kayaking excursions, family movie nights, ice-cream parties, Princess & Pirate Parties, paddle board demonstrations, cooking demos, campfire and sing-a-longs and marshmallow roasts. The Carriage House is part of the original inn that opened in 1884, at the home of sea captain Henry Heckman. While the rooms have been modernized over the years, the public spaces retain the charm and elegance of the original structure with an old-fashioned elevator, old-fashioned phone on the wall, pictures of boats scattered throughout the hotel and gorgeous views of the water. In addition, Nonantum offers onsite dining, making it easy for families with young children-in-tow.
