At Makgadikgadi Pans National Parkteens will love hopping on one of the quad bikes in camp and exploring the massive Makgadikadi salt pans. A guide will show them around, stopping for some fun photo ops along the way. Head out on a guided mokoro canoe ride to see hippos and crocodiles from the water. 

Enjoy a helicopter ride over the Delta to view the animals from a whole new vantage point.

To Know Before You Go

  • The best time to visit Botswana is May-September with the best weather being April and May. October and November can be very hot and January-February are the peak of the wet season. 
  • Keep in mind that family tents book up well in advance. It is best to plan your safari up to a year in advance to secure a family tent. 
  • Due to age restrictions at our camps safari in Botswana is best for families with children over the age of 6. Families with children 12 and under are required to secure their own private safari transportation and will have the opportunity to create their own private safari experience. 
  • A visa is not required for Botswana for a stay of up to 90 days. 
  • South Africa and Botswana require children under 18 to have a certified copy of their full, unabridged birth certificate as well as a valid passport. Please consult your travel advisor for complete information.
