Before Becoming an Advisor …

Travel has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. My father and grandfather built careers representing hotels around the world, which introduced me at an early age to the excitement of discovering new places and some truly special hotels. My first job out of college (and still one of my favorites!) was with an immersive summer academic program in the UK. I spent seven summers at Oxford University and saw firsthand how living and learning in a different culture opened students’ eyes to the world beyond home. The West Coast eventually called, and I moved to San Francisco, where I worked in executive recruiting during the dot-com boom. More recently, I’ve been raising our three children, all avid travelers, and volunteering in our community, including serving on the boards of two independent schools.

My Favorite Travel Experiences

Exploring the world has given our family a deeper appreciation for new places and diverse cultures, along with some of our most treasured memories. A summer sabbatical through Europe stands out, giving us the chance to slow down and really experience London, Paris, Florence, Tuscany, Venice and Barcelona. Other favorite adventures include shopping at a local market before cooking a feast in a centuries-old home in Croatia, ziplining through the jungle in Belize, snorkeling in the Galápagos, standing in awe of the Acropolis, skiing the snowy slopes of Utah and exploring the coastal towns of Maine, with plenty of lobster rolls along the way. Some of our most unforgettable moments have been watching the sun set over the African plains with wildlife all around us and cruising through Alaska’s Inside Passage as we watched whales breach, eagles soar and bears wander the shoreline.

Why I Love My Job

Long before becoming an advisor, I was a very happy Ciao Bambino client. Our family experienced firsthand the difference a dedicated travel advisor can make — the thoughtfulness, creativity and little bit of magic that go into curating a truly exceptional and highly personalized trip. Becoming an advisor has given me the opportunity to combine my passion for travel with everything I appreciate about Ciao Bambino and bring that same approach to my own clients. I enjoy planning travel for clients at every stage of life — from families with young children or teens to couples, friends, empty-nesters and multi-generational groups. Really getting to know my clients and planning trips that feel uniquely their own, filled with special experiences, meaningful connections and plenty of fun, is what I find most rewarding. I love knowing that I’ve played a small part in bringing a trip they’ve dreamed about to life and giving them memories they’ll carry with them long after they return home.
