Though I worked as a travel agent right out of school, I moved away from the industry I love into a totally different career path. I worked in the mortgage and escrow field, running a document signing service for home buyers and sellers. This was in combination with raising the two kids. My love of travel eventually brought me full circle to Ciao Bambino.
My favorite travel experience was shared as a family. On December 31, 2016, my family and I left the U.S. and embarked on a global year of travel prior to settling in Los Cabos, Mexico. We all walked over the Nicaragua/Costa Rica border and never looked back, ringing in 2017 on a water tower in San Juan del Sur. My son turned “double digits” as we traveled in Nicaragua and my daughter officially became a teenager in Bali. We explored oceans, mountains and cultures, and cultivated friendships over 14 countries. It’s a dream we had talked about since the kids were born and an experience I’ll never forget.
Travel literally opens up your world, and I love to help other families experience new places and cultures. Nothing is as transformative to children than to broaden their perspective through firsthand interaction with people and places that are new and different. Regardless of the destination, it’s a joy to plan families’ trips and share my personal passion for family travel with them.
