The Anantara Hua Hin Resort & Spa is a wonderful and relaxing retreat in the beach town of Hua Hin, a 2.5-hour drive from Bangkok. Luxurious guest rooms are decorated with Thai silks and feature terrazzo tubs and private outdoor terraces. The free-form beachside swimming pool, complete with swim-up bar, is a family favorite. Extensive grounds include a spectacular spa, tennis courts, several restaurants, and plenty of gardens and ponds for young children to enjoy. The resort is a great place from which to explore Hua Hin and its beaches and surrounds, including Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park and the Hua Hin Night Market. In addition, Antantara Hua Hin Resort offers a range of organized and do-it-yourself area excursions that are unique to Thailand, including elephant trekking on local nature trails and the beach, Thai boxing, and Thai cooking classes.
