I owned a photography business, specializing in maternity, birth and family portrait photography. After my first trip to Italy, I knew I had to find my way back! It was at this point that I started a cultural immersion tour company in Tuscany. My family and I have enjoyed living our summers in Italy for the last eight years. It was a natural progression for me to begin planning trips for families traveling there; we are now traveling the world over and my expertise has grown far past Italy.
One of my many favorite aspects of travel is seeing the diverse wildlife around the world. I experienced an incredibly intimate moment at an elephant rescue sanctuary in Thailand. An elephant that I had bonded with during my time there freely approached me, resting her forehead on mine. Three times she turned to look into my eyes, came back to rest her head on mine again, purring with her trunk to the ground. I like to think that I got a hug from her!
During my trip to Costa Rica, I was thrilled to be surrounded by monkeys at every turn, especially with the howler monkeys keeping us constantly entertained with their echoing calls. Sadly, I left without seeing one of the animals I had really hoped to see, a sloth. When I was on a mother-daughter trip with my daughter in Brazil, I was determined to find one. My daughter and I were in a small settlement in the Amazon Rainforest, and I was looking down to the ground as we were walking. The moment I looked up, there was a sloth in the tree two feet in front of us at eye level! I was in literal tears over that sweet face looking right at me. Even with all my incredible animal encounters, I still say the same thing after every trip: My greatest experiences are always with the people I meet along the way.
I am a dream producer — I spend my days making dreams come true for families all over the world. I love getting to know each of my families, then crafting a perfect itinerary that is completely special for them. My reward comes when I receive a photo in the middle of a trip from a family telling me how much fun they are having, or when they return and share their wonderful travel stories with me. Living in Italy, I even get the opportunity to meet some of my families in action. When I’m not creating dream trips around the world, I am traveling with my own family sourcing out wonderful new places to visit. My joy comes from being given the opportunity to share my passion for travel each and every day.

This is a challenging time for our clients given the uncertainty around the spread of coronavirus, particularly for those with near-term travel plans in impacted areas. We’re working with our suppliers on being flexible with their booking conditions, and enabling families to postpone travel to a later date without a penalty, when possible. Likewise, given the unpredictability around destinations that may be impacted in the future, we’re helping clients planning new trips and understand ways that they can protect themselves until the situation improves. We are ready to help our clients work through questions and concerns.
Our offices are closed for the holiday. We will respond to your request on Monday, November 28th. If you are a Ciao Bambino client experiencing an emergency while traveling, please leave a voicemail on
