A vacation in the City of Light provides the perfect opportunity for mothers and daughters to connect and make special memories — and no mother-daughter trip to Paris would be complete without some serious shopping. Engaging a shopping tour guide is the perfect way to maximize your time and make for the best experience. During a recent trip to Paris with a friend, I went on a search for one whom I could recommend to our CB! trip planning clients.
We had the pleasure of trying out a shopping tour with Stephanie Boutet-Fajol, owner of Sacrebleu Paris. She asked a lot of advance questions about what we were interested in and what kind of shopping we were looking to do, then put together a customized tour in the Saint-Germain des Prés neighborhood on the city’s Left Bank. This is the oldest neighborhood in Paris and happens to be my favorite.

Our diverse itinerary included a bit of everything: stops at small apothecaries selling beauty products not available in the United States; boutiques with clothes from up-and-coming designers; fabulous chocolate shops I hadn’t heard of. We had a fun morning visiting stores I might never have found on my own, and ended our day with lunch at Laduree, the iconic bakery known for its macarons.
Stephanie was great at understanding just what we were looking for and finding unique items we might have passed right by. It also was extremely helpful having a local to navigate and negotiate for us.
A shopping tour is definitely worth booking if you have a limited time in Paris and don’t have days to browse. Want help arranging a Sacrebleu Paris tour as part of our custom vacation planning service? Call us!
