My favorite part of Puerto Rico was old San Juan. A walled city in the middle of the Caribbean — fantastic! We felt like we were in Seville and parts of the city reminded me of Lisbon.
Fort San Felipe del Morro is magnificent with a massive grass area surrounded by water on three sides. We were there on a Sunday — I’ve never seen so many families flying kites. My only regret is we didn’t spend more time there.
Although it is small, you need a full day to see all the points of interest. See our list of the Top 5 Kid-Friendly Excursions in Puerto Rico.

Definitely want to visit there.
Great pick — old San Juan was my favorite spot in P.R. as well!
Another place I haven’t visited! Walled cities are intriguing, so I’m sure I’d like it. Thanks for sharing.
What a cool sky! It looks like a storm is blowing in!
What a lovely old city. It looks like a really beautiful place to explore!
Peace
Oh, I’d so like to get back to that part of the world – I’m brushing up on my Spanish at evening classes.
I can’t wait to visit Puerto Rico, will have to check out your suggestions for when I get there.
