Community Recommended Hotels and Resorts

Located in a restored 8th-century farmhouse in the Chianti region, just a few miles from the town of Tavarnelle, Podere San Filippo boasts spectacular views of the surrounding Tuscan landscape. There are over a dozen self-catering apartments, decorated in simple but appealing style, and offering plenty of space for families with one to three bedroom options. Apartments are located in the main house and in the property’s renovated barn. Kitchen facilities are excellent. There is no onsite restaurant, but Podere San Filippo’s nearby sister property, the luxurious Castello Del Nero Hotel, has both a restaurant and a spa that guests are welcome to enjoy. The location is convenient for sightseeing, and activities nearby include hiking, horseback riding, hot-air ballooning, biking and more. For guests who want to spend a day in the city, shuttle service is available to Florence and Siena.
