Greece Family Vacation Pa...
Athens, Nafplio, Olympia, Crete, Santorini
7 Days / 6 Nights
With its friendly, welcoming culture, fascinating ancient ruins and sublime beauty, Greece is a top choice for multigenerational family travel. It’s not everywhere you can spend a morning immersed in monuments dedicated to Athena and Apollo, then while away the hours on a white-sand beach, playing in the azure waves. Shadow an archaeologist as she excavates a centuries-old temple site, stroll through local markets and dine on world-renowned Greek delicacies or explore Dikteon Cave, considered by the ancients to be the birthplace of Zeus. Families of all generations are equally wowed by the grandeur and beauty of Greece and the myths it holds in its heart.

“Invisible routes” is a social project run by “Shedia”, in which homeless people become tour guides in a very different kind of a city walk. This is a tour that leads the guests through the backstreets of central Athens, introducing visitors to many important social and solidarity institutions of the Greek capital (soup kitchens, day centers, centers, homeless shelters etc). The guides provide information on the types of services offered by each institution as well as how they themselves have experienced or are still experiencing homelessness. From the visitor’s perspective, it is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with and to listen to a very personal, human story that for many will sound very familiar, too close to home. The visitor will also get an insight into the social challenges that the Greek society is facing.
Experience an evening of local dining as your family joins a resident family for a shared meal around their table. Learn customs and traditions while exchanging ideas about family life and culture. Based upon the preference of the client, as well as destination, this opportunity may be a shared meal, cooking lesson and/or market visit.

This is a challenging time for our clients given the uncertainty around the spread of coronavirus, particularly for those with near-term travel plans in impacted areas. We’re working with our suppliers on being flexible with their booking conditions, and enabling families to postpone travel to a later date without a penalty, when possible. Likewise, given the unpredictability around destinations that may be impacted in the future, we’re helping clients planning new trips and understand ways that they can protect themselves until the situation improves. We are ready to help our clients work through questions and concerns.
Our offices are closed for the holiday. We will respond to your request on Monday, November 28th. If you are a Ciao Bambino client experiencing an emergency while traveling, please leave a voicemail on
