Vail Resorts Family Ski Vacation Tips

> Park City Mountain Resort in Utah is one of our favorite places to ski with kids. Have you heard the news? This ski icon is now part of the Vail Resorts family, with all of the associated state-of-the-art ski experience perks!

> Kids under 12 ski and ride free at Keystone Resort in Colorado. We love this program, which helps make skiing more affordable for families!

> Although the 2014-2015 winter in Lake Tahoe is off to an excellent start — there’s 3 feet of snow and counting today — families know there will always be skiable terrain at Northstar California Resort, as they have the largest snowmaking system in North Lake Tahoe.

> I’m still dreaming of Cookie Time at Beaver Creek Resort in Colorado, when fresh, hot chocolate chip cookies are delivered to the slopes at the end of the day.

> Breckenridge hosts a 2,500-foot Gold Runner Alpine Coaster around and above the ski runs. And if that doesn’t provide enough thrills, there’s a new TenMileFlyer Zipline.

> Calling all moms! Vail Resorts is going out of their way to make skiing and snowboarding more accessible to women with focused, customized lessons just for them, including Mommy & Me parent/child programs.

> All Star ski coaching for ages 6-15 teaches all-mountain skills to kids who want to take their skills to the next level at Kirkwood, California.

> Fun non-ski activities are essential for a well-rounded family ski trip. Horse-drawn sleigh rides at Canyons Resort in Utah are a winter night treat for all ages.

> Adventure Ridge at Vail Resort has ski bikes, a kids’ snowmobile track and tubing lanes, and is the size of a football stadium! There’s no running out of things to do with kids in these parts of Colorado.

> Teens will think they’ve died and gone to heaven when they experience the DJ cat at Heavenly Lake Tahoe, with 52 speakers and 12,000 watts of amps. That’s some party!
