When it comes to picking a spot for a family vacation, Southern California has a lot going for it. Along with the ever popular Disneyland and mile after mile of sunny beaches, it’s harder to think of a reason not to go. One of my favorite reasons to take the family to Southern California is to getaway to Santa Catalina Island.
There are some activities that I do as a parent because I know that my kids will love them and Pirate’s Dinner Adventure, next to Knott’s Berry Farm in Southern California, is one of them … or so I thought.
This family-friendly pirate adventure show is not just for kids; it’s an adult crowd pleaser too.
For many, the holidays mean travel. Making the trek to family on the other side of the country, escaping to a beach in Mexico, or skiing. Spending the holiday somewhere special has its perks, but my family does an amazing amount of excursions over the weekends leading up to (and after) Christmas and New Year’s.
We may not be hopping on and off of planes, but we’re definitely hitting the road to take advantage of the whirlwind of great “holiday things” on the calendar.
I always thought that bird watching was well, for the birds. It seemed like you needed the prerequisite binoculars and a lot of patience to wait for the bird to come along – not something that sounds fun …
