Marbella is an iconic holiday destination in Spain filled with upscale beach resorts. We’ve added two luxury family hotels to the Ciao Bambino Hotel Collection over the past few weeks — both are wonderful options with children of all ages with extensive onsite amenities and rooms that accommodate families.
This exclusive resort has been a steadfast family favorite for decades. We spent a holiday here when our son was a toddler. One of my favorite travel family moments happened at their kids’ pool where children from around the world communicated in their universal language … play. No words required. Hotel Puente Romano
Hotel Puente Romano is owned by the same family as the Marbella Club. This property is larger with 261 rooms (versus 121 rooms) and famous for their tennis club and botanical gardens. Read the full review of Hotel Puente Romano for families for more details.
Day trips from Marbella include the old town of Marbella, Ronda, Mijas, Puerto Banus, and Gibraltar. Ambitious families can get to The Alhambra, but this is a long day at 2 hours each way.
Many people are surprised to realize that Marbella is quite developed. True statement. Go for the wonderful beach resort experience, not for a holiday where you are dreaming of pristine beaches with zero urban impact.
