Flytographer Strikes Again: Amazing Extended Family Vacation Photos in Hawaii

Nothing makes me happier than sharing and savoring incredible family vacation photos. But as the head family photographer, I find that I’m rarely in the photos, and I’m just picky enough that handing phones and cameras to strangers is unlikely to produce the results I want … the exact reason why we used Flytographer for our family trips to Florence and Shanghai.

Likewise, we planned a multigenerational trip to Hawaii in August to celebrate my in-laws’ 50th wedding anniversary, and when we wanted to cost-effectively capture our extended family gathering on film, my first thought was to call our friends at Flytographer. Given that the company offers vacation photographers in more than 200 cities around the world, I had a hunch we could source someone, even someone who could come to a villa located on the beach in the middle of the Big Island of Hawaii.

The result? Absolutely fantastic. Our photographer was as pleasant to work with as she is talented and managed to get exceptional shots that captured the spirit of the moment of both the individual families, as well as our extended family — not an easy task when a 9-month-old and a 5-year-old are part of the group and would rather play on the sand than take photos. I wouldn’t plan a multigenerational vacation without Flytographer there to document it in such a heartfelt and beautiful way. Here’s a look at some of our favorites!
