Dana writes about travel, nature, wine and anything that makes folks smile. Days exploring outnumber ones at home; she loves taking her family on adventures that get them outside, whether it’s taking California’s first rail bikes for a spin or swimming with manatees in Florida.

Dana has spent the past decade traveling and writing for a variety of publications and websites, including Ciao Bambino, AARP, Hemispheres, Delta Sky, HERE, The Saturday Evening Post, The (London) Telegraph and more. With NBC News for 10 years before becoming a freelance writer, she’s also the television travel correspondent for KRON4 in San Francisco.

Dana was raised on the Jersey Shore, but now calls Northern California wine country home. She traded coasts to study journalism at the University of Southern California and not having to shovel snow suited her. See where she’s off to next on Instagram.
